Gregorian's Amazing Grace song was released in 2006 as part of the album, Masters of Chant Chapter IV. The band is composed of vocalists and musicians from Germany, Switzerland, Austria and the Netherlands.
The writers for this version are John Newton (lyrics) and Trad./Arr. by Frank Peterson & Michael Soltau (music). This version of Amazing Grace is a combination of Gregorian chants with modern instrumentation that creates an ethereal atmosphere. It also features lyrics sung in Latin which add to its unique sound. This rendition has become one of the most popular versions of the classic hymn.
