Disco Medley: I Will Survive / Funky Town / Last Dance / The Hustle / On The Radio Lyrics
Selena
Lyrics
How are you doing Houston, Texas?
*I WILL SURVIVE*
At first I was afraid
I was petrified
Kept thinking how could I never live without you by my side
But then I spent so many nights just thinking how you did me wrong
And I grew strong
And I learned how to get along
And now your back from outer space
Just turn around
Cause your not welcome anymore
Weren't you the one who tried to hurt me with good-bye?
Did you think I'd crumble?
Did you think I'd lay down and die?
Oh no now go
Walk out the door
Don't turn around now
Cause your not welcome anymore
Weren't you the one who tried to hurt me good-bye?
Did you think I'd crumble?
Did you think I'd lay down and die?
Oh, no, not I
I will survive
For as long as I know how to love
I know I'll stay alive
I've got all my life to live
I've got all my love to give
I will survive
I will survive
Todos de pie, vamonos, todo mundo
**FUNKY TOWN**
Talk about it, talk about it, talk about it, talk about it
Talk about it, talk about it, talk about moo-ving
Gotta move on, gotta move on, gotta move on
Won't you take me to funkytown
Won't you take me to funkytown
Won't you take me to funkytown
Won't you take me to funkytown
Let me hear you Houston, Texas, Mexico
***LAST DANCE***
Last chance, last chance for love
Yes, it's my last chance for romance tonight
I need you by me, beside me, to guide me
To hold me, to scold me
'cause when I'm bad, I'm so, so bad
So let's dance the last dance
So let's dance the last dance
So let's dance the last dance tonight
Last dance, last dance for love
Yes, it's my last chance for romance tonight
I need you by me, beside me, to guide me
To hold me, to scold me
'cause when I'm bad, I'm so, so bad
So let's dance the last dance
So let's dance the last dance
So let's dance the last dance tonight
Do The Hustle!!!
Break it down, let me hear some gritos
****ON THE RADIO****
Someone found the letter you wrote me on the radio
And it said exactly how you felt
It must've fallen out of the hole
In your old brown overcoat
It never said your name but I knew who they meant
I was so surprised and shocked and I wondered too
If by chance you heard it for yourself
I never told a soul just how I've been feeling over you
But they said it really loud, they said it on the air
On the radio, whoa-oh-oh, on the radio
On the radio, whoa-oh-oh, on the radio
On the radio!

It has become one of the most iconic Latin dance records of all time, combining elements of funk, soul, R&B, and pop music. The lyrics for each song were written by their respective original authors, including Gloria Gaynor ("I Will Survive"), Lipps Inc. ("Funkytown"), Donna Summer ("Last Dance"), Van McCoy ("The Hustle"), and Giorgio Moroder & Donna Summer ("On the Radio"). The band members included Selena's brother A.B. Quintanilla III (bass), Ricky Vela (keyboards), Pete Astudillo (percussion), Suzette Quintanilla (drums), Joe Ojeda (guitar) and Chris Pérez (guitar). This medley not only serves as an homage to some of the greatest disco hits of the 70s and 80s but also as a reminder
