Song & Lyrics Facts
Joyous Celebration's "Tambira Jehova" is a gospel song released in 2009 on the album Joyous Celebration 11. The song was written by Mthunzi Namba and Sipho Makhabane, two of South Africa's most prolific gospel writers and composers.
It features members of the Joyous Celebration band, an award-winning South African gospel choir. The lyrics are about praising God for His goodness and mercy. They sing: “Tambira Jehova, tambira namuhla, tambira ngezwi lakho ukuvuma konke” which translates to “Praise Jehovah today with your voice, Praise Him and accept all that He has done”.
