"Walls of Jericho" is a song from the 1985 album of the same name by German power metal band Helloween. The album was released on October 31, 1985 and features an all-star lineup including vocalist/guitarist Michael Kiske, guitarist Kai Hansen, bassist Markus Grosskopf, drummer Ingo Schwichtenberg and keyboardist Michael Weikath.
The song is written by Hansen and Weikath and has become one of Helloween's most popular songs. It is considered to be one of the earliest examples of melodic speed metal and it helped define the genre in its early days. The second single off the Walls of Jericho album was "Ride the Sky". This track was also composed by Hansen and Weikath and featured Kiske on vocals. It was released as a single in 1986 with the B-side being "Judas", which was another classic Helloween song. "Ride the Sky" is an up-tempo power metal anthem that showcases the band's trademark sound; fast riffs, catchy melodies and powerful lyrics.
