Cashmere - Love's What I Want is a song by the Los Angeles-based rock band, Cashmere. Released in 1989 on their self-titled debut album, the song was written by lead vocalist and guitarist Steve Wynn along with bassist Kendra Smith and drummer Dennis Duck.
The genre of the track is alternative rock with elements of jangle pop and psychedelic rock. In the lyrics, Wynn sings about his desire for love and how he wants to make it last forever. The song has become one of the most popular songs from the band and has been covered by several artists over the years. It's also featured prominently in the soundtrack for the film Reality Bites (1994). Cashmere disbanded in 1992 but reunited in 2017 and released a new single titled "Resolution" in 2019. The band members are Steve Wynn, Kendra Smith and Dennis Duck.
