It was recorded at Atlantic Studios in New York City during the album sessions for Let There Be Rock. The track features a bluesy feel with guitar solos from both Angus and Malcolm Young. Released on July 21st 1977, Crabsody in Blue has been included as a bonus track on various re-releases of Let There Be Rock. The lyrics tell the story of a man who goes to the beach looking for love but instead finds a crab that he takes home and names "Crabsody".
