The song features Corgan's signature distorted guitars and melancholic lyrics about lost love and longing to be reunited with someone special. The Smashing Pumpkins were an alternative rock band from Chicago, Illinois that formed in 1988 and disbanded in 2000. They have since reformed and are still performing today.
