Sitting On The Moon Lyrics
Enigma

Lyrics
I am sitting on the moon,
Watching planet blue, hello.
Looking all around,
Rotating without sound,
Where are you?
Where are you?
I am sitting on the moon.
Where are you?
I am missing... I am missing you.
I came from very far,
A little unknown star, hello.
I don't know what to do,
It is so cold and blue, without you.
Where are you?
Where... where are you?
I am sitting on the moon.
Where are you?
I am missing... I am missing you.
Where are you?
I am sitting on the moon.
Where... where are you?
I am missing... I am missing you.
Where are you?
I am sitting on the moon.
Where are you?
I am missing... I am missing you.
Song & Lyrics Facts
Enigma's popular single "Sitting On the Moon" was released in 1990 as part of their debut album MCMXC a.D., which went on to become one of the most successful albums of all time. The song was written by band members Michael Cretu and David Fairstein, and produced by Cretu himself.
Lyrically, the track is an exploration of the idea of freedom through space travel, with its chorus asking “What if I could fly away from here?”. Musically, it has a dreamy atmosphere thanks to its ambient production and sweeping synths. While not as commercially successful as some of Enigma's other singles, "Sitting On the Moon" remains a fan favorite to this day.
