Crazy Frog, also known as The Annoying Thing, is a computer-animated character created in 2003 by Erik Wernquist. It became an Internet phenomenon and its debut single "Axel F" was released on June 17th, 2005.
The song was taken from the album Crazy Frog Presents Crazy Hits and featured vocals by Daniel Malmedahl. It was written by Håkan Lidbo, Christopher Norman and Daniel Malmedahl, produced by Lazyboy (aka Jocke Berg) and mixed by Steve Mac. The lyrics are based on Harold Faltermeyer's instrumental theme for the 1984 film Beverly Hills Cop. The song reached number one across Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Mexico. It has since become a dancefloor classic and remains a popular party anthem to this day.
