It was recorded with a full band including keyboardist Richard Cottle, guitarist Phil Palmer, bassist Pino Palladino, drummer Paul Robinson and backing vocalist Tessa Niles. This version features a new arrangement that highlights the lyrics and gives them more emotional depth. The track also has a newly added guitar solo as well as an extended instrumental bridge. This re-recorded version reached No.1 in several countries around the world and became one of de Burgh’s most popular songs ever.
