Blue System was a German Euro-disco band created by Dieter Bohlen in 1987. The group's most popular single, "Gangster Love", was released from the album "Body Heat" in 1989 and featured vocals from Rolf Köhler and Michael Scholz.
This synthpop track was written by Dieter Bohlen and produced by Luis Rodriguez and Bohlen himself. It peaked at number 8 on the German Singles Chart and went gold for selling over 250,000 copies. The song is about a man who falls in love with a woman who lives an illegal lifestyle. Its lyrics were penned by Bohlen and the music video was directed by Hannes Rossacher.
